Best Eats in Philly

Here at the Center City Team, we are all locals and we love two things: our city, and food! Luckily, Philadelphia has some of the best eats in the United States. And while we love a good Philly cheese steak (how could we not!), we also love the diversity of cuisine found in every pocket of the city.

Many of our favorite Philly neighborhoods offer world-class chefs serving up artisan, gourmet fare right alongside hole-in-the-wall restaurants serving up fascinating ethnic eats and fusion foods.

In short, it’s impossible to get bored of our food scene. Here we share the best eats in Philly—and nothing is off limits! Food halls, fine-dining, and burger shacks, if it’s good food then you can be sure a member of the Center City Team has mowed down there and shared the tale for all hoping to find great new places to eat in Philly.

We hope you enjoy the advice we offer here, and if you need additional information on anything, or to speak with one of our real estate agents, contact the Center City Team: 215.440.2093

Swank Center City Steakhouse to Feature Eagles Mural

The Palm on Broad Street is one of Center City’s sexiest restaurants. It’s located inside the Bellevue Hotel at 200 S. Broad Street and is part of a beloved, 90-year-old restaurant chain. The Palm was just renovated two years ago, and now the restaurant has higher ceilings, a rebuilt floor, and a relocated bar. One of the most noticeable changes […]

Holy Yum, Batman: Famous Philly Cheesesteaks Go National

In the City of Brotherly Love, Philly cheesesteaks are A Very Big Deal. Rivalry runs heated between local cheesesteak purveyors, all of whom claim they serve the finest sandwiches in the city. When visitors come to town – even big names like President Obama – they follow a predictable pattern. The admire the crack in the Liberty Bell, they pose […]

What Ever Happened to Eataly? 3 Food Hall Consolation Prizes

Oh, 2013. You were a good year. You gave us Miley Cyrus on a “Wrecking Ball,” Katy Perry’s “Roar,” and the inescapable-yet-controversial funk of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.” “Twerk” and “selfie” were added to the dictionary, people lined up for blocks to eat cronuts, and everyone and their mother were hooked on Candy Crush. While we’re reminiscing, let’s talk about […]

Panera Fans Rejoice! New Menu Item Only in Philly

I don’t know if I’ve ever shared this here, but Panera is my happy place. The fast-casual restaurant chain, which has locations throughout the United States, happens to be my favorite place to hang out and work for a few hours. The food is yummy, the vibe is mellow, and there is always someplace to plug in my laptop. Add […]

Getting Ready for Diner en Blanc 2018? New Food Options Available!

Diner en Blanc is one of Philadelphia’s most-interesting (or most-mocked, depending on who you ask) traditions. The alfresco dinner is practically an homage to the bougie, with several thousand attendants dressing in white from head to toe – that means socks too – paying a generous ticket fee to BYO everything, from food to wine to tables and chairs. The […]

Inside the World’s Priciest Philadelphia Cheesesteak

The battle over the supremacy of the Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwich is one that has raged in the City of Brotherly Love for… well, I don’t know exactly how long, but I know it’s been a long time. Whether you are a Pat’s gal or a Geno’s guy, or even if you love your sandwich from a random hole in the […]

Entice Your Inner Kid at Philly Bar With a Focus on Fun

Going out with your friends as an adult is supposed to be fun, but the reality is that good time comes with a high price and a lot of hassle. In Philadelphia, getting into a decent club will cost you around $20 at the door, to say nothing of drinks, and will usually involve dancing around in a pair of […]

Pop-Up Bar Based on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” Opens

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” holds the distinction of being the only major TV show right now to take place in the City of Brotherly Love. How much Philadelphians want to own that fact remains questionable, however, due to the lewd, crude, and rude shenanigans of “The Gang” as the run the fictional Paddy’s Pub on the FXX show. In […]

Girl Scout Cookies and Booze at Center City Distillery

It’s that time of year again! And no, I don’t mean “that lull between Valentine’s Day chocolate and Easter candy where you have to wear green.” It’s Girl Scout cookie time! I myself have already hit up my favorite little trooper and currently have a dozen boxes of Samoas, Thin Mints, Do-Si-Dos, those lemony half-moon ones, and the new S’mores […]
