You and I both know that Philadelphia is a great place to live. Now, the rest of the world is starting to catch on as well. With the City of Brotherly Love as a top contender for Amazon’s HQ2 project and riding the coattails of the Eagles’ Superbowl win, more people than ever are checking out this East Coast city that’s situated close to other major metros like New York City and Washington D.C. Philly is rich in history and culture, the food is great, and its become a locus for trendy millennials and rising entrepreneurs. What’s not to love? Business Insider recently ran an opinion piece on some of the best places to live in Philly. Here’s the rundown on a few that got attention.

Fairmount got singled out for its artsiness, and proximity to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Barnes Foundation, and the Rodin Museum. It’s got multiple walking and running trails for fitness fanatics, and with Boathouse Row right there, you can take up rowing for some extra cardio boosting.

Manayunk’s small town feeling was the source of some love from Business Insider, along with the fact that there are numerous cars, restaurants, and cafes located within the square mile that is Main Street. Proximity to six colleges means that the Manayunk neighborhood is crawling with students, many of whom go on to become young professionals raising their families in the area.

Fishtown is the Bushwick of Philadelphia, says the Insider, with plenty of antique shops and groovy coffee shops adding to a hipster feel that is very attractive. Here, old factories have been converted into trendy loft apartments and old rowhouses have sexy rooftop decks.

Then there’s Old City, the home of Philadelphia’s historic landmarks. Can you imagine living within walking distance of Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell? Old City serendipitously blends the old with the new, mixing boutiques, galleries, and a lively nightlife with popular tourist draws.

I think every part of Philadelphia is awesome, but you know I have to admit a bias towards Center City’s neighborhoods. 😉
