1.) President Trump Visited Philadelphia

It’s not every day that you can say the POTUS was in town! Today, President Trump spoke to the National Electric Contractors Association at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. He addressed an audience of more than ten thousand electrical contractors, electricians and apprentices from all over the country and spoke on the topics of his administration’s commitment to workforce development and promoting small businesses.

2.) The Laurel Breaks Ground

The Laurel is quite possibly the most highly-anticipated condo building in Center City, and last week on the blog we caught up on some of the chatter regarding the latest plans. On top of being built on the last vacant plot of land on Rittenhouse Square, the Laurel will also be the highest residential tower in Philly. The starting price for the ultra-luxe condos is $2.5 million.

3.) Over Easy Breakfast Club

For ladies (and lads) who brunch, the Over Easy Breakfast Club in Fishtown is a happening place for all your favorites, some served with a twist. Eggs are available any way you want them, and duck eggs can be substituted in all orders. Pancakes with walnut honey butter and French toast served with fruit are also standouts. With a bright, easygoing atmosphere and great food, there’s no better place to wake up for on a weekend. The restaurant is open from Friday to Sunday only from 8am until 4pm. 2302 E. Norris Street.

4.) 1414 S Penn Square #19e

I am in LOVE with this Avenue of the Arts condo located in the Residences at the Ritz Carlton! Let me count the ways… there’s a wide open floor plan so that, when you walk in, you get a clear view of Dilworth Plaza and Ben Franklin atop the gorgeous architecture of City Hall! There’s just one bedroom, but it is large and has a swoon worthy walk-in closet attached. The en suite bathroom features a generous soaking tub and a separate standing shower. The kitchen is a gourmet’s dream with a Viking range, Miele Dishwasher and Sub Zero refrigerator. The building includes a lap pool, hot tub, and yoga room, among many other amenities! Snap up this little slice of heaven for $710,000.

5.) 23rd Street Armory Oktoberfest

Celebrate the German way with traditional food and free-flowing beer supplied by the world famous Paulaner Brauerei München. Live oompah music should prove a standout. Guests can choose to attend one of three separate 4-hour sessions each accommodating up to 1500 people. Tickets will be available in General Admission, VIP and Uber VIP options. General admission is $25 and includes your first liter of beer and a large Bavarian pretzel. Food is pay as you go. Plenty of communal seating for everyone. Table service will also be available in general admission. As you go up in price level, there are more perks.
