The former Four Seasons has undergone a six-month, multi-million dollar renovation and emerged as The Logan. The Logan, which is located at 1 Logan Square, is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. It opened its doors officially yesterday. The hotel is located on the edge of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, with The Franklin Institute and the Free Library of Philadelphia close by.

The Logan officially opened its doors on Wednesday.

The Logan features 391 guest rooms, of which 64 are suites with marble bathrooms and French doors separating the living and sleeping areas. Each guest room is 400 square feet. Prices differ for rooms based on the view. The Logan has almost 40 more rooms than did the Four Seasons.

Sandra Heydt, director of sales and marketing, says that all the design choices in the hotel are deliberate, and that “there’s thought behind everything.” This includes combining brick with tile. mismatching lamps and nightstands in guest rooms, and other “irreverent” touches for which the hotel is known. Make no mistake, however – The Logan is sophisticated all the way. It mixes traditional design and furniture with more contemporary elements, all to very luxe effect.

The Logan is calling itself “Philadelphia’s hotel,” and it helps cement that distinction with artwork by local artists, including some featuring famous Philadelphia residents like Grace Kelly.

The Logan features an indoor heated pool, a 24-hour fitness center with all new equipment, a 24-hour business center, and a spa that has been revitalized with a new manicure and pedicure area. Coming soon to The Logan: a new restaurant, called Urban Farmer Steakhouse.
