Diggs and Menzel Sell Studio City Nest
Two of Hollywood’s most beautiful people, Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel, broke the hearts of Hollywood stargazers last year when they announced their separation. The duo, who met on stage playing Benny and Maureen in the original Broadway cast of the hit musical “Rent,” had been married for over ten years, and, as prominent members of the theater (and then film) community, fans grew to love the pair together. Well, that’s done now – and, accordingly, news just broke that the estranged pair have sold the Studio City, California abode that they used to call home.

The six-bedroom, five-bathroom home was listed for $2.995 million and ultimately sold for $2.555 million. Menzel and Diggs bought it in 2010 for $2.09 million. The home, “set at the end of a country lane” (as per the original listing), covers almost 5,000 square feet. It sports an elegant open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and broad living areas. A two-story foyer welcomes one into the house, and leads into a shiny chef’s kitchen, an open dining area, and plenty of space for even a sizable family. The master suite is spacious and luxe, and shares a floor with three of the other bedrooms – perfect for parents and kids. On the second floor, a guest suite sports vaulted ceilings and wood floors that would make any guest feel right at home. The yard is large and manicured, and touts a patio, pool, and tree-house.
It would be easy to make a “Let It Go” pun (since Menzel voiced ice queen Elsa, the star of Disney’s blockbuster animated hit “Frozen”), but I’ll refrain.
