Michael Douglas and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones recently pulled off a real estate switcharoo in Bedford, New York.

The couple, both of whom are Oscar winners, moved three miles down the road to a home that’s almost double the size of their previous nest. Obviously they are fans of life in Westchester County! Both homes are traditional in style and feature a host of gracious amenities appropriate for a duo with as much combined starpower as these two.

The recently-sold home just went for $8.1 million. It was a 6-bedroom, 6-bath traditional colonial with a central brick hallway, large master suite, and stables. The couple first rented the home and then bought it for $5.075 million in 2010. It was freshly reno’d and also sports a guest house on the property.

The new home, dubbed Lionwalk in honor of the stone lions situated on either side of the drive, was last listed for $12.75 million. The colonial-style stunner sits on 13 acres of rolling green land, and the home itself is over 15,000 square feet. The estate was built in 1895. It sports a designer greenhouse and high-end equestrian facilities.

Perhaps they’ll have a joint housewarming party with fellow movie star Bruce Willis, who just picked up his own Bedford pad this month?

Douglas and Zeta-Jones undoubtedly consider their new manse to be a happy symbol of things to come: the couple recently announced that they were ending their separation and rekindling their marriage. They were married in 2000 and have two children together. The pair also own homes in Manhattan, Bermuda, and the U.K.
