Cat Hoarding At Grace Kelly Home In East Falls

Cat Hoarding

Police and animal cruelty investigators arrived with a warrant yesterday at the childhood home of Grace Kelly yesterday and were stunned by the “deplorable conditions” and “cat hoarding” they encountered.  Inside the home, located at 3901 Henry Avenue in East Falls, authorities found 14 living cats, one dead cat and “”fleas, feces everywhere inside”.   The home has been registered to Marjorie Bamont since August 1, 1975.  Authorities claim to have received complaints about the property previously but were never granted consent to enter the home by Bamont.  Reports were that Bamont would be charged with animal cruelty pending the outcome of psychiatric evaluation however news outlets report that she  was involuntarily committed to a psychological institution and charges are still pending.  Neighbors claim that Bamont, a lifelong animal lover with a history of involvement in cat rescue, had good intentions but that somehow, something went awry.  Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco, was an American film actress and wife of Prince Rainier III of Monaco and the Princess Consort of Monaco from 1956 until her death in 1982.
