Renovations Underway For Spiga Successor At 1305 Locust Street

Drove past the old Spiga building at 1305 Locust St yesterday only to see crane loads of building materials being delivered into a second story window.  Michael Klein reported in the beginning of the summer that Nomad Pizza owners Tom Grim and Stalin Bedon had purchased 1305 Locust Street, the building that formerly housed Spiga.  Grim and Bedon intend to open a “Roman style pizzeria” that is yet unnamed but will not be another Nomad Pizza.  Based on the scope of the work needed and the speed at which is it progressing it appears as if the new pizza shop will be open soon.
