Jose Garces Working on 3 New Restaurants in Philadelphia
Jose Garces is going to be a busy man this Fall, as he takes on 3 new projects from the Philadelphia Airport to Center City. Garces has over 15 restaurants in 5 cities, with some of the top dishes right here in Philly. Amada, Tinto and Village Whiskey are just a few of his award winning restaurants currently open in the Center City area.
Southwest Philadelphia : Garces is consulting on a new swank tavern called Local, opening in Terminal F of the Philadelphia Aiport, which is currently undergoing a makeover this year.
Manayunk: Taqueria Feliz, (Feliz means happy in Spanish) another winner by Jose Garces, Tim Spinner and Brian Sirhal which will be their third spot they have opened and serve delicious Mexican cuisine, located at 4410 Main Street. This restaurant will be in close proximity to Cantina Feliz, which is another mexican hot spot in Manyunk less than 2 miles away. There is no doubt in my mind that Garces’ Taqueria will blow it’s competition out the water!
Center City: The Kimmel Center, located just off of Broad and Spruce Street, will be home to another Garces restaurant with a private kitchen named Volver, featuring a champagne and caviar bar. Two giant glass walls separate Spruce Street from the dining room, which will give passersby a good look inside the restaurant.
Sounds like there will be several great new dining options for Fall 2013!
