• Clark Park May Fair: This festival falls on Saturday, May 11; conveniently the day before Mother’s Day! Offering all type of crafts to buy for Mom. The Fair will also have a used book sale, live music, family games and much more!
• Fairmount Night Market: The Night Market event of 2013 is taking over the Fairmount area on Thursday, May 16 from 6 to 10 p.m. Philly’s most beloved food trucks will be present, and a few well known neighborhood restaurants like Alla Spina, Lemon Hill and Urban Saloon will also be participating in the fun.
• Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival: Along with the blooming rhododendrons of spring comes the Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival on Saturday, May 18. The event is Walnut Street’s annual fete with food, fashion, music and art, plus a slew of activities for kids.
• Italian Market Festival: South Philadelphia’s Italian Market is the nation’s oldest outdoor market, and on May 18 and 19, from 11am to 6pm, rain or shine. South Philly welcomes the city for its annual Festival, filled with the flavors and sights of Italian-American culture, from cuisine to the Annual Procession of Saints. The Festival stretches down 9th Street from Fitzwater to Federal streets. Streets are lined with talian delicacies, handmade wares and all day entertainment.
• Brewerytown Spring Festival: Brewerytown hosts a Spring Festival on 27th and Girard to 28th and Girard on Saturday, May 18th From 12:00 to 5 p.m. If you want live music, family-friendly activities, art vendors and 15 to 20 tasty food trucks, this is the place to be !
• South Philadelphia Taproom’s Wheat Beer Fest: Indulge in all of the wheat-based beers that you can drink with over 30 wheat beers for only $3 a pop on Saturday, May 18 from noon to 8:00 p.m. Sip your beer while tasting delicious smokin’ barbecue at the annual block party and enjoy live music from local bands.
• Philadelphia Museum of Art: As part of National Musuem Day, receive FREE admission to all of the Museum’s buildings on Saturday, May 18 including the main building, Perelman Building, Rodin Museum and Historic House Mount Pleasant.
• PHAIR Open Air Market: If you love home-made goods this fair is for you. Open air market founded by locals, makes it debut on Saturday, May 18 starting at 10:00 am. This exciting new venture is scheduled to run all the way through Thanksgiving. Located at 23rd and Arch Streets, PHAIR brings an eclectic mix of over 100 vendors from food to jewelry to clothing and much, much more. Shopper’s paradise will remain open until about 5:00 pm.
