East Passyunk Fall Festival – Our annual costume contest is getting some great additions this year for kids and grown ups, including live music, fun activities for kids, and a craft show produced by Nice Things Handmade featuring local artists! Categories for the costume contest are Scariest, Funniest and Most Original. Age groups are staggered: 11am – ages 4 & under, 11:30am – ages 5 to 8, Noon – ages 9 to 12, 12:30pm – Dogs! Yep, that’s right – pets are welcome, too! Activities for the kids includes pumpkin decorating, crafts, and trick or treating. Willie will play family-friendly songs between age categories and will be followed by Rooster & Squire and We are Fauna. We’ll also have circus performers, face painting and tattoos, arts & crafts with the Young Rembrandts, tarot card readings by Angela Ranalli, and Ms. Goody Cupcakes’ truck will be on-site. This event is FREE. In case of inclement weather, the costume contest and limited activities and music will be held inside Urban Jungle.
East Passyunk Witch CRAFT Beer Crawl
While you’re marking your calendar you may want to jot down Wednesday, October 24, 5:30-9:30pm for the Witch CRAFT Beer Crawl.
East Passyunk’s Halloween bar crawl is back for its 3rd year! Leave the broom at home and join us at 12 amazing bars and restaurants for $3 craft beers. $6.66 admission includes $3 craft beers, witch hat + a Witch CRAFT stamp card. Collect stamps by purchasing craft beers (or any other food and alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage items), collect five stamps to be entered to win a gift certificate prize package from participating bars worth $300! Every stamp over five gets you an extra chance, 2 stamps max per bar. We will also have some other tricks and treats as runner up prizes. Registration is at The Bottle Shop from 5:30pm -7:00pm. Please return your stamp card to Noir by 9:30pm for the prize drawing. Participating Bars: Birra, The Bottle Shop, Cantina Los Caballitos, Le Virtu, Lucky 13, Noir, Paradiso, POPE, Ray’s Happy Birthday Bar, South Philly Bar & Grill, Stateside, and Stogie Joe’s. All proceeds benefit EPABID’s cleaning and greening programs. This event is 21+ only. Please drink responsibly. East Passyunk is easily accessible by SEPTA via the Broad Street Line and several bus lines, go to www.septa.org for routes & schedules. Need a taxi?
