Philadelphia Zoo Building $24 Million Garage

The Philadelphia Zoo has enlisted the services of Shoemaker Construction Co. and Perryman Construction Services to build a $24 million parking garage with bus station.  The 4 story, 683-space garage will approximately double the current available and will help with traffic near the Philadelphia zoo.

Here’s a breakdown of where the money is coming from compliments of Joseph N. DiStefano at Philly Deal$:

Federal Transit Agency/Federal Highway Administration: $7.18 million

Pennsylvania state Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program: $8.25 million

Philadelphia city capital program: $700,000

PNC Bank loan: $8.25 million
