(UPDATE: Zoning Update re: 1020 Catharine Street. BVTW has received confirmation that the applicant for this case is requesting a continuance (that is, a postponement) of the ZBA hearing this Wednesday; therefore, neighbor attendance at that hearing is not necessary. The applicant team will be significantly revising the plans to incorporate some of the suggestions at our recent meeting. No big surprise here.)
Recently another new construction project was proposed for the intersection of Catharine Street and Warnock Street in Bella Vista. The property above, whose address is 1020 Catharine Street, will be removed and supposedly 6 new single family townhomes will take its place. A few items to note 1) there is virtually no chance of the current proposal (below) being approved as is 2) this building is hideous so anything would be an improvement and 3) a friend of the Center City Team was actually bidding on this property and his intention was to build 3 single family homes with parking in the rear.
