Huge Mixed Use Project For Drexel University
University City – Susan Snyder of Philly.com is reporting that Drexel University plans to partner with a Texas based developer to build a 97 million dollar mixed used property that will house 869 students and 11 storefronts on Chestnut Street in University City where Drexel’s campus meets The University of Pennsylvania campus. The property will be located between 32nd and 33rd Streets and will feature a 19 story tower and two 8 story townhouse style towers. The onset of construction is imminent and the project is expected to be completed by September of this year. Yet another example of how Drexel and Penn are dominant forces in the Philadelphia Real Estate community.
