The renovation of Dough Boy Park in Northern Liberties is now complete. The park, designed by DIGSAU Architects, has benches, cobblestone, and a green area surrounding a statue of a soldier from World War I (also called a “dough boy”). The official name of the statue is “Over The Top” (obvious Stallone reference) and it was created by 1920’s era sculptor John Paulding. The redesign of the park was paid for by a grant from the William Penn Foundation.
