Philadelphia Real Estate Blog: Realtor Parking Permit

A bill has been introduced in City Council which would give Philadelphia Realtors the option of up to 3 hour parking permits. Testimony will be given today at City Hall and Philadelphia Real Estate agents are being encouraged to be present and give support.  This measure, if enacted, will give realtors parking privileges similar to those currently afforded to contractors and will make home buying easier for Philadelphia home buyers and their agents.

Here’s the email from GPAR:

“Last Thursday, Councilman Jim Kenney introduced real estate professional parking permit legislation for us. Basically, it enables real estate professionals to pay for a permit to park their cars for up to 3 hours without feeding the meters under terms and conditions. A public hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 1 PM Room 400 City Hall. Mary Louise will be testifying along with a few other GPAR members. A Call to Action is being worked on and will be sent to all GPAR members, particularly the members of the GA Committee. It is my sincere hope that we can show support of this legislation to City Council by having our members show up in numbers at this hearing. I hope you can make it.”
