You read that correctly. The space that was formerly occupied by Portofino Restaurant at 1227 Walnut Street in the Washington Square West / Midtown Village neighborhood will soon be occupied by the brand new Walnut Street Supper Club. James McManaman and Ralph Berarducci have partnered up to open The Walnut Street Supper Club – a 1940’s style supper club complete with baby grand Piano and live performances. The restaurant will serve dinner seven nights a week in the huge, high cieling-ed dining room that overlooks a stage where bartenders, wait staff, hostesses and busers will sing classic songs by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Bobby Darrin & Judy Garland. James McManaman is known for his work at Jed Nolan’s Music Hall and Yesterday’s Restaurant. Ralph Berarducci is a well known restaurateur who has both owned and operated restaurants in the Philadelphia for over 40 years. This one is sure to be a big hit.
