Philadelphia Housing Authority To Auction Hundreds of Philadelphia Homes

The Philadelphia Housing Authority will, for the first time ever, auction more than 400 properties in North Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, and South Philadelphia in an attempt to reduce surplus inventory that is not being used.  The auction will be conducted by Max Spann Real Estate & Auction Co. and will take place on November 16, 2011 at 1pm.  The sale will be held at PHA’s finance office building at 1800 S. 32d St. All properties being auctioned will be listed at Max Spann’s website  and can be purchased individually or in blocks as large as 25.  Iinformational sessions will be held on  Oct. 19 and Nov. 2 at 1800 S. 32d St. and Oct. 26 at 2862 Germantown Ave. in North Philadelphia where  a list of properties up for auction, bidding instructions, and terms of sale will be distributed.
