Philadelphia Phillies Real Estate News

Philadelphia Real Estate - Cliff Lee

I get asked all the time where Philadelphia celebrities live and with that in mind I decided to write what will hopefully be the first of many blogs on the subject. First up to bat… the Philadelphia Phillies. Obviously some discretion is required to protect the privacy of the players and their families but this will give you a decent idea of where your favorite players live.   Most of the Phillies live in and around Philadelphia during the baseball season but return to their hometowns in the offseason.  Here’s the starting lineup:

1. Jimmy Rollins – James Calvin “Jimmy” Rollins, born November 27, 1978, in Oakland, California.   Nicknamed “J-Roll”, the All-Star and former MVP shortstop lives in a home in Swedesboro, New Jersey that he purchased from Michael McCary – of Boyz II Men fame.

2. Shane Victorino – Shane Patrick Victorino, born November 30, 1980 in Wailuku, Hawaii, is an All Star who lives in a home in Las Vegas in the offseason and in an undisclosed Philadelphia location during the season.  Shane must be pretty sneaky because nobody seems to know where he lives during the season.

3. Chase Utley – Chase Cameron Utley, born December 17, 1978, is the All Star second baseman and native of Long Beach, California. Chase and his wife Jennifer live in the Penthouse of a Washington Square Condominium in Center City Philadelphia.

4. Ryan Howard – Ryan James Howard, born November 19, 1979, in St. Louis, Missouri is nicknamed “The Big Piece”, because he stands 6 feet 4 inches and weighs 240 pounds. Howard was the 2006 National League MVP and he lives in what is reportedly a beautiful home in Blue Bell, a borough of Montgomery County, PA

5. Hunter Pence– the newest Phillie, Hunter Andrew Pence, born April 13, 1983, in Arlington, Texas lives with Cliff Lee in his Rittenhouse Square Condo in Center City Philadelphia (and gets to drive one of his cars!)

6. Raúl Ibáñez – Raúl Javier Ibáñez, born June 2, 1972, in New York, New York lives in his 5,025 square foot, $3.5 million home in Miami, Florida but stays in a home in Cherry Hill, New Jersey during the baseball season.

7. Ben Francisco – Louis Ben Francisco, born October 23, 1981, leases a luxury condo on Rittenhouse Square in Center City Philadelphia in the same building he was at last season.

8. Carlos Ruiz – Carlos Joaquín Ruiz, born January 22, 1979, and lovingly called “Chooch” lives in a house in Camden County, New Jersey

9. Cliff Lee – Three time All Star, 2008 American League CY Young Award winner, and my 4 month old son Jackson’s favorite Phillie,  Clifton Phifer “Cliff” Lee, born August 30, 1978, purchased a luxury condo on Rittenhouse Square in Center City Philadelphia with his wife Kristen after resigning with the Phillies this year.

And here’s a few more:

Charlie Manuel owns a home in Haddonfield,  New Jersey

Cole Hamels and his wife Heidi own a luxury condo in Rittenhouse Square in Center City Philadelphia

Darren Daulton owns a condo on the Delaware River waterfront in Center City Philadelphia in the same building where Michael Vick leases an apartment.

Lenny Dykstra just lost his Thousand Oaks, California home he purchased from Wayne Gretzky lost to foreclosure.
