Note that not all homes in Queen Village lie within the Meredith catchment—the Nebinger catchment is also in this neighborhood, but takes up a much smaller area (falling between Christian and Washington, Columbus and 10th). Those residing in the Meredith catchment are guaranteed a spot for their child in 1st through 8th grade, but as of 2017 a lottery was enacted for the limited kindergarten spots—this is a changing situation, however, so research ahead of time (find more details regarding the lottery at meredithmatters.org). Those children who don’t win the kindergarten lottery attend Nebinger for one year, and then return to Meredith for 1st grade.
