Society Hill Towers is a three-building condominium development located in the Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The complex contains three 31-story skyscraper buildings on a 5-acre site. The towers, originally apartment buildings, were designed by I.M. Pei and Associates and were completed in 1963. Those who sail regularly on the Delaware River in the Penn’s Landing vicinity can clearly see the Society Hill Towers as a landmark. These modern buildings contrast with the surrounding neighborhood’s historic residential homes, a juxtaposition that is not atypical of the Philadelphia landscape. The buildings were listed on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places on March 10, 1999. Society Hill Towers is a classic Center City condo.
