Smokey’s Home Is Up For Sale!

Smokey Robinson, Motown songwriter and singer, has listed his home in Chatsworth, California. The 74-year-old put the house on the market just six days ago. Located in the prestigious Indian Springs gated community, this is the kind of abode that was clearly meant for a celebrity.

This gorgeous home is on sale for $7.99 million.

The six bedroom, six bath home is spread over a spectacular 9,075 square feet of living space. A three-story domed entry gives way to a sweeping staircase in a foyer straight from a fairytale. There are four – yes, four! – expansive family rooms, no less than three gourmet kitchens, a 35mm soundproof theater with its own family room and kitchen (hey, there are enough to go around!), a sauna, and a pool with spa. The master bedroom sports its own balcony and patio, as well as a lavish ensuite bath. Smokey Robinson’s career has been a long and impressive one. He’s been hailed by Bob Dylan as “today’s greatest living American poet,” and has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He has an individual star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as a group one with his Motown singing group, The Miracles. Robinson wrote music for luminaries like The Supremes, and then went on to an award-winning career as a solo artist. No word on where he’ll hang his hat once the home sells, but he’ll have to go far to find another nest as pretty as this one!
