Debra Messing, of Will and Grace and The Mysteries of Laura, just bought up a beautiful eighth-floor co-op unit on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, a scant half block from Fifth Avenue and Central Park. Asking price for the home was $5.499 million; Messing was able to negotiate that down a scooch to $5.45 million. The unit boasts beautiful prewar details, high ceilings, a renovated kitchen, and four bedrooms – each with its own ensuite bathroom. Messing just sold her old home in Bel-Air for $11.4 million.

Jake Gyllenhaal has sold his three-bedroom home in the Hollywood Hills. Initially bought for $2.5 million in 2005, the actor turned around and sold it for $3.262 million. The home sports an oversized great room with stunning views of the hills. In addition, the outdoor space is dreamy: there’s a big private yard, a pool, and a patio. Situated on almost two acres, it’s perfect for entertaining.

Remember the news that Lauren Bacall’s estate was due to hit the market? It has officially happened, and the gorgeous Manhattan apartment is listed at $26 million. Talk about a head-turner of a price! The home is located in New York’s renowned Dakota building… which is said to be haunted. You will have nothing to fear, though, other than how to clean the 4,000 square feet of the apartment. (Just joking. At that price, you’d probably hire a small army of maids!) Over the years, The Dakota has also housed John Madden, Judy Garland, and John Lennon. Bacall bought the home for $48,000 – no, that’s not a typo – back in 1957.
