Hollywood’s Latest Homeowner: Lady Gaga

Let’s hear some “Applause” for Lady Gaga, the newest homeowner in Hollywood. Reports say that the singer just bought her first home, a stunning $22.5 million estate across from Zuma Beach in Malibu. While most folks go for a modest “starter home,” the “Born This Way” belter rarely does anything small-scale… and that applies here as well. The Manhattan-bred singer, aged 28, went straight for the big leagues with her ultra-luxe pad.

The home’s architecture was inspired by the South of France.

The manse, which formerly belonged to Dan Romanelli of Warner Bros.’s toy and apparel division, sits on six acres. In other words, plenty of room for all the “little monsters” with whom Gaga could possibly want to party. It was inspired by architecture in the South of France, and was originally listed at almost $25 million. The nest features superstar-worthy add-ons like a two-lane bowling alley, a booce ball court, an eight-horse stable, and an 800-bottle wine cellar. All these are able to be accessed from a “secret door” in the living room, which has earned the home the impressive moniker of “The Batcave.”

With a view fit for a “monster,” this Malibu home is a showstopper.

The off-the-wall chanteuse, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, may happily bedeck herself in a dress of sirloin, but she’s notably hush-hush on the details of her private life – and that includes her dwelling. Don’t expect an official comment from Gaga on the new digs, or one of those schlocky OK! Magazine home tours. We’ll have to content ourselves with some of the listing photos of her casa.

The deal was closed under the star-powered real estate firm The Agency, which represented both sides of the bargain. Man, talk about a sweet commission!

Gaga’s unlikely to spend too much time nesting right now, as she’s promoting her fourth studio album, Cheek to Cheek, which she recorded with Tony Bennett.
