Yesterday I was able to confirm that Hunter Pence, the Philadelphia Phillies right fielder, purchased a penthouse condo at the Murano located at 21st Street and Market Street in Logan Square. The penthouse has Southern and Western exposures and postcard like views of Philadelphia. I find it interesting that Pence chose the Murano over 1706 Rittenhouse, where Cliff Lee and Jonathan Papelbon recently purchased condominiums, and 10 Rittenhouse. Either way the Murano is a clear upgrade from his home last season…Cliff Lee’s couch.
Here’s a description of the Murano from the building’s website:
Soaring 42 stories above Center City, Murano is Philadelphia’s newest and most thrilling luxury condominium. Like the fine Italian glass it was named for, Murano merges form and function, life and art, to stunning effect. The views, the convenience, the luxurious amenities – they’re all here. It;s a residence unlike any you’ve ever seen. At Murano, a valet meets you in front of the private driveway. Your door staff welcomes you by name, assists you with packages and announces your guests. A concierge is at your service, day or night. Welcome to a world of sophistication and comfort, where impeccable service makes your everyday life extraordinary.
