Logan Square Park Nominated For Register of Historic Places

Got an interesting email from the Logan Square Neighborhood Association regarding the ongoing efforts to improve and modernize Coxe Park.

Members of the Logan Square Neighborhood Association, as individuals, have prepared and submitted a proposed nomination of Coxe Park to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places. The Philadelphia Historical Commission has scheduled two public meetings, both important in its deliberative process, to take public comment on this proposal.

First: Meeting of the Committee on Historic Designation of the Philadelphia Historical Commission
Monday, February 27th
9 AM
Room 528 City Hall
(Enter City Hall though the northeast tower entrance. Photo ID is needed, and give a few minutes time for security check in.)

Second: Meeting of the Full Historical Commission
Friday, March 9th
9 AM
18th Floor, 1515 Arch St.

All are encouraged to attend and give their thoughts about Coxe Park and the nomination.  Kudos to everyone’s for their hard work and for trying to make Logan Square the best neighborhood in Center City!
