Philadelphia Real Estate Blog – Lenfest PlazaLenfest Plaza Officially Open And Paint Torch Lit – the city has officially opened Lenfest Plaza, Philly’s newest public area, located on Broad Street near the Philadelphia Convention Center. Many thanks to project managers Becker & Frondorf, Claes Oldenburg for creating “Paint Torch”, landscape architects OLIN Partners, and to The Lighting Practice who provides unique lighting services.
New Sabrina’s In University City – Sabrian’s opened a third location in University City (Powelton Village) on Drexel’s Fraternity Row (227 N. 34th Street) . Oddly enough it opened inside the historic Victorian mansion on the corner of 34th and Powelton.
Sbraga Close To Opening – Top Chef winner Kevin Sbraga’s Sbraga restaurant (Broad and Pine Streets) is getting close. Front-of-the-house orientation starts Oct. 2, as he related on Facebook/Twitter. Reservations are being taken effective Oct. 15 by phone (215-735-1913). It’s not yet on OpenTable. The website is at sbraga.com. (Michael Klein at Philly.com)
Philadelphia Phillies Win TV Ratings For 2011 – A second-half surge in TV viewership propelled the Philadelphia Phillies to the top spot among Major League Baseball ’s regional sports network (RSN) ratings this season. The team ended the season with a 9.1 rating on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, edging out the second place St. Louis Cardinals (9.0) on FS Midwest. That difference shrank considerably during the season’s final week, as the Cardinals set RSN ratings records while outlasting the Atlanta Braves for a wild card slot on the season’s final day.
