Philadelphia Real Estate – New Old City BuildingHarmanDeutsch had appeared two times previously before the Commission’s Architecture Committee and been denied approval.
The five-story project falls under the jurisdiction of the Historical Commission because the previous building was listed consider to be contributing to the Old City Historic District. The previously existing building was built in 1894 and was demolished following a January 2004 fire that severely damaged it.
